We love Valentine's Day for so many reasons, not the least of which are romance and lingerie. The 418 Project in downtown Santa Cruz is a self-proclaimed "hub for self-discovery and artistic development," hosting a plethora of dance and theatre programs. On Valentine's Day, the 418 project hosts a performance that we are particularly interested in; an open-ended discussion on the nature of eroticism. Show up, and you may see a pack of French Theft Lingerie's finest.

Below is the 418's description of the show;

Now in its eighth year, this blockbuster show features original, local performance art answering one provocative question:  What Is Erotic?

Originally created as a fundraiser for The 418, this show generally plays to sold out houses and has become our most popular production.

Each year the What Is Erotic? directors’ team puts a public call out to anyone wishing to participate.  Performers range from experienced theater professionals to those who have never been onstage.  Each participant receives five months of direction, coaching and support until the show is ready for…you!

The show features spoken word, aerial dance, burlesque, theatre, song all created for What Is Erotic?  Find out why What Is Erotic? is the Hottest Valentines Date in Santa Cruz!
